Walk to Scotland
2008
In 2008 a 3 day “Walk to Scotland” was organised and attracted a lot of interest. On the first day the weather was atrocious. Driving persistent rain caused streams to break their banks and the moorland to overflow with water.
The walkers who completed this walk, all seem to talk about it with happy memories!!
Here is a compilation of photos from the (infamous) day
We were fortunate that Conrad Dickinson, polar explorer, was with us on the day. The conditions did not cause him any problems, even when a bridge floated away!
Prospective walkers with the festival may be reassured that this was a one-off and, although walking conditions may be muddy, we do not anticipate swimming on a regular basis.
