Giant redwoods in Northumberland? Join tree expert Nick Johnson on a walk filled with local folklore, natural and social history and most of all trees: lots of them.
A highlight of this walk is the privately owned Catton Exotic Tree Arboretum, with its collection of rare species and even its own Catton Henge. The route passes through the Higher Ground community garden and the Witches Circle in Deneholme Wood, and if we’re really lucky, we may even glimpse a red squirrel!
