Bridge House offers comfortable and flexible self-catered accommodation for walkers during the Festival, including The Lodge, with two double en-suite bedrooms and a cooking / relaxation area, as well as two camping huts – all only a three-minute stroll from an excellent traditional pub.

A bus stop outside the property offers access to the AD122 into Haltwhistle and Hexham and points along Hadrian’s Wall.

This is Haltwhistle’s oldest building, originally a 15th-century Border Reivers’ Pele Tower that has served various roles throughout history.

Featherstone Castle is only 3 miles from Haltwhistle and features in our 2026 programme.

An exciting opportunity presents itself if you are a group of more than 10 people, you could consider staying in Featherstone Castle.  It is a grade 1 listed building with parts dating back to the 14th century. The castle does operate as a conference centre and can accommodate up to 76 people; it will however take a booking of more than 10 people. It offers hostel style self-catering accommodation with full kitchen facilities. The rate is £35 per person per night.

There is also a holiday cottage which sleeps up to 6 people.

The Bowes Hotel is a village pub with 6 rooms to let. It has a good reputation with walkers and Hadrian’s Wall diggers who return year on year.

It is in an ideal central location for Hadrian’s wall and the Northumberland countryside. There is also easy access to train, bus and road links to Haltwhistle, Haydon Bridge and Hexham.

The village also has an award-winning village shop and tearoom.

The George Hotel is in a wonderful location on the North Tyne River, immediately adjacent to the Hadrian’s Wall path. It is just 5 miles from Hexham and ten minutes’ walk to Chester’s roman fort.

In total The George Hotel sports 47 bedrooms, offering a choice of standard single rooms or twin and double rooms at a standard or superior tier.

The George’s on-site restaurant serves breakfast and evening meals with a diverse all-day menu. During the day, guests are welcome to visit the bar for a light lunchtime meal.
