Walk 13: Knarsdale and the Pennine Way

Start Point: Slaggyford

We start in the pretty village of Slaggyford at the north end of the South Tyne Railway heritage line.

It is a beautiful, varied route with open moors, very remote farmsteads, lovely woodland beside the Knar Burn, then a short section on the Pennine Way.  Finally, we head back into Slaggyford along an easy trail beside the river South Tyne.
