The walk starts and finishes in the lovely village of Newbrough on the route of The Stanegate Roman road in the South Tyne Valley. We will head out of the village through open countryside, crossing the boundary into Northumberland National Park and onto the Hadrian’s Wall Path. Here we will visit the sites of a Roman fort, a Roman temple and the course of the vallum.
